abouT ISOLLAT

Special Technologies was established in 2002 on the basis of the Institute of High-Temperature Electrochemistry, Ural Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with several defence enterprises. The company main challenge was to help promotion of innovative developments by Russian scientists.

Isollat liquid ceramic insulation coating became the first product of Special Technologies. We received a patent for this invention in 2003 (Russian patent No. 2251563). Totally by now we have 8 patents relating to different ISOLLAT materials.

Invention of Isollat coating originated from technologies created in the 70s for the Soviet submarine fleet. Combination of the Soviet experiences, a number of experiments and trials lead to creation of a new material that by its characteristics significantly exceeded the previous generation of thermal insulation.

ISOLLAT Nano Liquid Ceramic Thermal Insulation for steam pipelines. It has always been a challenge for many sectors like the Oil & Gas, Industrial, Food & Agriculture, and Chemical sectors to provide a thermal insulation material that actually saves energy with multifunction properties and features. Insulation of pipelines with superheated steam (steam pipelines) is a complicated operation, especially for surfaces with extremely high temperatures 400 - 500°C. It is often necessary to put the thermal insulation without stopping the equipment operation which is very risky. ISOLLAT Nano Liquid Ceramic Thermal Insulation reliably isolates the most complicated surfaces, including stop valves, connections, and elbows providing 100% fit to the surface, preventing holes and sagging.
